Trek Information :
Dharamkot is your starting point of the trek to Triund. You can also start the trek from McLeodganj. The trek from Dharamkot however is possibly the nice one as it climbs through a thick of pine forests.
Depending on the season you are going to trek, the temperatures will vary.
If you are trekking during the summer season, you can expect the day temperature to be around 15 to 20 degrees. During the night, it can drop to 6 degrees.
Best Season to visit Triund:
After monsoon and the starting of winters (September to December), you can expect the temperature to start dropping. The day temperatures will be fairly pleasant at about 12 to 16 degrees. At night time, it can drop to 0 to 4 degrees.
How to Reach Triund:
The base camp of the trek is Dharamkot, a small village near Bhagsunag(Mcleodganj). Dharamkot is just 2 km from McLeodganj and is a short 20-minute walk from the bus stand. You can also hire a taxi or autos from McLeodganj which would be 8 km.
